Hey there,
My name is Baylee Field, and I’m a UI/UX Designer and Illustrator out of Tulsa, Oklahoma. I have a BFA in Graphic Design from Oklahoma State University.
Ever since I was little I loved art, I think the first thing that I remember inspiring me to draw was Sailor Moon (my mom would wake me at 5 am and carry me into the living room to watch it since thats the only time it aired).
Since then, I’ve created my own style, often inspired by the pop culture I love. When creating fine art I like to create things that would make me laugh, or frankly, make others uncomfortable or “look twice”. Peoples reaction to art that isn’t of a more traditional style has always fascinated me, so I like to push the viewer by creating things that can be seen as inappropriate or crude. I’m not a very serious person, so creating things that make people laugh from it’s absurdity makes me happy.
As a designer, I have a very different outlook as compared to my fine art. Humans are visual creatures whether we realize it or not and we use our eyes to judge, perceive, and intake information. Which is why designing with data is incredibly important and why I’m passionate about User Experience & User Interface Design.
I thrive on creating innovative solutions that enhance the user's journey and help people overall in their daily lives. My favorite thing about design is how ingrained it is in our everyday routine without us thinking about it. How we use and see everything is thanks to some facet of design. Making things clear, concise, and consistent has always been really fulfilling to me.
In my free time I love to read, watch horror movies, and be with my dog and best friend, Bastion.
